South Africa: All medical cannabis products on sale in SA are illegal

OHANNESBURG - All the medical cannabis products on sale in South Africa are illegal.

That's according to the SA Health Products Regulatory Authority.

The organisation said the medications are unregistered and consumers have no guarantee that they are safe or effective.

One of the most popular products is CBD oil which sellers claim helps treat an array of conditions from cancer to arthritis.

The regulatory body is working with police to clamp down on illegal sales.
