UK: Hundreds expected to take part in pro-cannabis march in Cardiff

ITV News

Saturday 05 May 2018

Hundreds of people are expected to take part in a march in Cardiff city centre today to protest against the prohibition of cannabis for recreational and medicinal use.

It is being organised by the Cardiff Cannabis Social Club as part of the Global Marijuana March.

The group says it is aiming to make this year's march "bigger than ever".

It is the eighth annual march held in the Welsh capital.

Cannabis is Class B drug and users can get up to five years in prison.

A spectacular day in Cardiff, Wales for the Global Cannabis March. An hour before the March gets organized, people come to Cathay’s Park and smoke in this gorgeous park and get irie. pic.twitter.com/2DNsZkLaUr
