Scotland: 'CRACKING DAY' Glasgow Green filled with hundreds of pro-cannabis fans celebrating 4:20 Day

Revellers are gathering to discuss the issue of cannabis and the idea of legalising the drug between 12pm and 8.30pm

The pro-cannabis event was organised by the Glasgow Cannabis Social Club and almost 1,000 people expressed an interest on Facebook.

Live music is expected to be played throughout the day, with raffles, stalls and live speeches also to be heard.

Revellers gather to discuss the issue of cannabis and the idea of legalising the drug between 12pm and 8.30pm.

Supporters of the annual event known as ‘Weed Day’ have vented their delight at the rally online.

Ali King added: “Happy 420 everyone.”

Andrea Valente gushed: “Looking forward to this one hope it’s a nice day.”

Angela Woods said: “Cracking day for it.”

The event, which takes place on April 20 every year, also host organised events across the UK, including in London and Leeds.

Attendees in Glasgow will join others across the world by taking part in the tradition of “lighting up” at 4:20pm – despite not having the green light from Glasgow City Council.
