UK: Letter: Sativex Gives A High

Peter Reynolds, Cannabis Law Reform

The Sun

Saturday 15 Oct 2011

The Sun Reported on September 3 that a cannabis medicine, Sativex, is to be used for the first time in British hospitals to provide pain relief for cancer patients.

You reported that sativex does not give a "high" but this is contradicted by the product information which says that "euphoric mood" is common among users.

Indeed this is part of its beneficial effect. Cannabis has been used effectively and safely for more than 5,000 years.
